Review : disappointed in the quality of wood top
I looked a long time before deciding to purchase this night stand for our bedroom. I received free shipping on this item so I finally decided to take the plunge and order it as the style matched beautifully. When it arrived I was just really disappointed with the quality of wood top and shelf. It has very pronounced grain in the wood - it is NOT smooth at all. The beveled edge is extremely rough. I tried to return it and the company said I would not only have to pay for the shipping to return (which I expect) but that I would now have to reimburse THEM for what they paid to get it to me - even though it had been free shipping! So I then decided to put it together. After I spent 45 minutes I noticed that the drawer and another spot had been damaged and then someone had attempted to repair them and reship. I'm hoping the company can either give me some of my money back or send me a new drawer. Ugh.
